Thank You American Guys
All Jenny and I have to say is -thanks to the guys from Hawaii and Ohio that helped us last night. We got into Venice at night, took a bus to the center of town, and boom that was it. Up to us to find our hostel. Ummmmm, well I had scribbled down off of a website where the hostel said it was located. We were walking, hauling our luggage, down by the canals at dark. Tad bit scary! We looked really lost, we were both getting pretty mad/frustrated, and finally two guys standing by a bar asked if we were lost. Evidentally, the website failed to tell the us right info…..we had to go to one place to check into an office, and across a plaza to actually get into a room. Then there was an interesting situation involving 3 keys, and me opening a maintenance closet…….ahhhhh. Glad to say we are okay, we went on a gondola ride and a ferry taxi ride (which I got sick on and Jenny will not let me live down!). Lots of pictures later, we are tired and not able to find rooms on the internet really for the next part of our trip. Milan, Genoa, Cinque Terre….all booked and all really expensive. Yuck.
